In Case You Hate Your Job (a pep talk)…

HELLO there … How “are you doin “? Life sure is interesting this year, isn’t it? I know that’s an understatement, but I’m not here to dredge up bad news. I’m here to try& offset it … You’ll have to let me know if I supplanted. Okay so … This might be a weird thing to say, but I can’t tell you how many times my work has saved me from spinning out about politics, event of natural disasters& myriad shocking places outside my control.yes … WORK. I am a career-minded, ambitious hag. My personal edition of “creating the kickass living for my dreams” is familiarized around the creative work I do. My work gives me a sense of purpose. And it’s fun. It’s likewise how I restrain a roof over my honcho, which means that it really-really-really MUST BE FUN, because (& you’re welcome to judge me for this) if it isn’t fun, I won’t do it … not for the long haul. That doesn’t mean it’s all develops& rainbows 24/7. I do struggle sometimes. I get overwhelmed, embarrassed, impatient( principally with pesky things like tech hitches or unexpected avalanches of email )… But the core actions of my work( writing, podcasting, coaching) are extremely joyful. I desire doing these things. That’s what gives me the strength to put up with the new challenges. If your work is NOT fun& you’re the kind of person who needs it to be, you have three options: 1. You can learn to endure it& prove joy abroad. 2. You can change your mindset in an attempt to make it fun. 3. You can change your work. Every one of these options involves some attempt. Depending on the gap between where you’re at now and where you want to be, it could also require sacrifice& a whole lotta time. Specific situations is peculiar, because every individual is unique. YOU are distinct. And I miss you to know that YOU ARE WORTH THE EFFORT. Your dreams substance. Your happiness topics. Many of us deplete more of our waking hours succeeding than not, and now that* the nature of undertaking* is experiencing such a huge world-wide switch … Is it fair to say that a great many of us now work from dwelling? And that inherent in that might be new possibility? I’m one of those scrappy people who found a mode to work from residence many years ago. It was partly out of necessity. I am a single mummy& the sole guardian of a young man with special needs. Those needs ask that I be here to assist him daily. I am so grateful that my work allows me to do that, which makes me back around to fun … If I didn’t enjoy my work, it simply has not been able to be sustainable on top of my other responsibilities. I would burn out& cease. So … This is just a random little pep talk& I hope( maybe ?) a hint of hope. If you don’t love your life specific because you hate your work … My wish for you is that you will soon find the hope& determination to do something about that. If you don’t know where to begin, ask for spiritual guidance, brainstorm suggestions with a friend, participate a conceive group, do a bit of research … Enjoyable/ fulfilling run may not be easy to find( or compose ), but it might be worth the effort. You certainly are. Until we meet again … MUCH LOVE -xo peace…Joanna
