Understanding Your Daily Focus
The older I get the more I try to look at life in a holistic gumption. Being chronically ill and disabled has forced me to look at health as the intersection of genetics, life, damage record, and spirituality. Without the balance of mental and physical health, I don’t operate well. I can’t trade one for the other, which so often feels like a requirement to survive in this world.
I’ve learned that my person is an ecosystem, and it is constantly at play with the other wonderous and terrifying self-contained ecosystems of everyone I know. Nothing happens in a vacuum-clean. In order to tackle the feelings that leave us feeling lodge, we have to look at our attentions, our figures, and our hearts to make sure that they are aligned.
In this week’s Daily Focus, let’s make the time to examine how these different elements of self can come together to help foster and facilitate expansion and mending.

One of “the worlds largest” foundational constituents for being joyful and healthy is honesty, with yourself and with others. There’s a reason that in craving medication, the first step is always admitting there a number of problems. The thinking transportations. Be honest about your needs, and what you can realistically tackle. Set objectives for yourself that you know are attainable and lean on others when the time comes.

Communication, honest, and problem-solving are essential parts of holistic healing. Sometimes, that represents going an outside ruling. It could represent talking to a professional, or even to a stranger, but make sure you’re seeing things from more than precisely one surface.

Make sure that you’re taking time to appreciate all five of your senses and honoring yourself for getting through another daylight with a little treat.

Don’t stand still. Make sure that you’re moving, even if it isn’t steady. Movement is physically important for our people, but it’s also vital for our abilities, our curiosities, and our ambitions. I demand you to try and think of movement as something beyond the physical. As someone who is disabled, it’s taken me a long time to think of movement as something bigger than exactly physical. But there is movement in artwork, in music, in light-footed — we just have to look for it.

Just like you need to make sure you’re getting enough food and crusade, make sure you’re getting a good night’s sleep. Listen to your body when it tells you what it needs.

As important as it is to push through, communicate, and foster growth, it is crucial to take time to sit in peace. Quiet minutes start a long way.
